For North Texas sign & graphics shops
Meet new storefronts before they open, while they still need a sign.
Every week we pull the businesses that just filed for a Texas sales-tax permit in your county, keep the storefront-type ones, and hand you a short list with a ready-to-send intro. You get there before they've picked a sign vendor.
Free sample for your county. No card, no contract. How it works
Three steps, every Monday
The state publishes new sales-tax permits as public data. Many list a first-sales date that's still weeks away. That gap is your window.
We pull the new permits
Fresh Texas Comptroller sales-tax permit filings for your county. We keep storefront-type businesses: restaurants, retail, salons, medical, fitness, auto, and similar.
We check and sort them
Each lead is checked against public listings, marked Opening soon or Just opened, and scored A/B/C for how likely it is to need signage now.
You reach out first
Your list arrives Monday morning as a Google Sheet (and CSV). Each lead comes with a short intro email, a call opener, and a walk-in line you can use as-is.
What a list looks like
Sample rows
Three real rows from public permit filings in late September 2026. Names and addresses are partly hidden here; your list shows them in full.
| Business | Town / County | Type | Permit issued | First sales date | Status | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Flying B*** 4*** State Hwy 121, Ste 3** | The Colony / Denton | Restaurant | Sep 21, 2026 | Dec 1, 2026 | Opening soon | A |
| Margarita's Mexican R*** 2** Main St | Paradise / Wise | Restaurant / bar | Sep 24, 2026 | Nov 1, 2026 | Opening soon | A |
| Rowdy G*** Apparel 1*** S Grand Ave, Ste * | Gainesville / Cooke | Clothing retail | Sep 26, 2026 | Dec 1, 2026 | Opening soon | A |
"First sales date" is the date the business reported to the state; actual opening dates can move. Scores are our own estimate, not a promise of a job.

FAQ
Questions shops ask
Where does the data come from?
From the Texas Comptroller's public "Active Sales Tax Permit Holders" data, published on the state's open-data portal. Businesses get a sales-tax permit before they start selling, and many report a first-sales date that's still weeks out. We filter it, check each lead against public listings, and sort it for sign shops. Storefront Radar is an independent business and is not affiliated with the Texas Comptroller.
Which counties do you cover?
Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Wise, Cooke, Montague, and Wichita. Seats are limited to 3 shops per county, or 1 if someone takes the exclusive. Ask if your county is still open.
How does delivery work?
Every Monday morning your list lands in a Google Sheet shared with you (CSV download included), and we email you when it's ready. Core plans also get a smaller Thursday drop of new filings.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Every plan is month to month. Reply to any email or write to cutler@storefrontradar.com and we'll stop at the end of your current month.
Will other sign shops get the same leads?
At most 3 shops share a county on Core. With an Exclusive county plan, no one else gets your county's list.
Do you contact the businesses on my list?
No. The list is yours to work. We give you the timing and the words; you make the contact.
